Good vision charitable trust, based at Nagercoil , Kanyakumari district of Tamilnadu in India  was established in the year 2000. It was the vision of one man who was born in a remote village named Karungal in a family of seven children. Although he was born in a middle class family, he is still remembered as a helpful child willing to help anyone in need. The foundation for Good Vision was laid when he grew up with this commitment to do something to the needy. His vision to build a self sustained society gave birth to a secular, non political, social organization with the name,” Good Vision”  in the year 2000. The same was registered as a charitable trust in January 2000 under Tamilnadu Charitable Trust Act.

Objectives

    •Liberation and empowerment of women through awareness, motivation, and capacity
      building programs.
    •Promotion and facilitation of Self Help Groups for self sustenance
    •Mobilizing the marginalized people especially the unemployed, unorganized laborers and
      rehabilitation of devastated people by natural and manmade disasters etc.
    •Capacitating the people on Socio, Economic and Cultural issues.
    •Providing skill trainings and Entrepreneur Development Programs
    •Rejuvenation and conservation of natural resources and protection of environment
    •Ensuring people’s participation in the process of development.
    •Enlightening the people about their rights and enabling them in addressing their issues in
      the people’s forum.
    •Addressing health issues and promoting  awareness of healthcare
    •To bring about awareness regarding importance of children’s education and enabling
     them their right to education.
